Three stops this month. Sen. Jon Husted sat down with us on the Upward Mobility Act. Lucas County showed up for the Working Family Tax Cuts. And there’s a chapter near you that meets in two weeks.
Husted Roundtable
On August 28, AFP-Ohio hosted a roundtable discussion with U.S. Sen. Jon Husted focused on the Upward Mobility Act and the push to let Ohioans keep more of what they earn.
“I always want to fill people with hope that you can actually change things,” Husted told attendees.
He was clear that the stakes go beyond spreadsheets:
“It’s not just about the economy. When we talk about lower taxes and better business environments, it’s not just about dollars. It’s about your family.”
— Sen. Jon Husted, AFP-Ohio Roundtable, 8/28
Chapter Spotlight — Lucas County
This month’s chapter spotlight goes to our Lucas County team, who showed up for a rally supporting the Working Family Tax Cuts.
Lucas County chapter meets every other week and is always looking for new faces — whether you want to get involved locally or just learn more about what’s happening in your community.
Take Action With Your Chapter
Real change doesn’t happen from the sidelines. It happens when neighbors show up for each other — at a rally, at a chapter meeting, in a conversation with the person next door — and make the case that families deserve to keep more of what they earn.
That’s the whole idea behind our chapters: a place to turn caring about an issue into actually doing something about it.
