Endorsement: Andrew Brenner for State Representative, House District 61 

Background 

Senator Andrew Brenner is serving his second term in the Ohio Senate, representing District 19, after previously serving four terms in the Ohio House of Representatives and five years as Delaware County Recorder. His public‑service career began at the local level on the Kingston Township Zoning Board and as a representative to the Delaware County Regional Planning Commission.  

He has spent more than 30 years working in the real estate and mortgage fields as an entrepreneur, and he is a licensed REALTOR as well as a licensed property and casualty insurance agent. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with concentrations in marketing and economics from The Ohio State University and a Master of Education in Teaching and Learning with an emphasis on Leadership from Liberty University. In addition to his legislative service, he remains active in numerous civic and professional organizations, including the Delaware County Farm Bureau, the National Rifle Association, and multiple local chambers of commerce.

Andrew Brenner’s long tenure in public office reflects a commitment to strengthening Ohio’s communities through effective governance, educational excellence, and economic growth. His community involvement underscores a desire to ensure that public policy serves residents, protects local interests, and supports the long‑term prosperity of Delaware County and the broader region.

Senator Brenner’s work highlights a focus on economic opportunity and regulatory efficiency demonstrates a strong commitment to fostering local economic growth and maintaining an environment conducive to business investment. His leadership on lower taxes and fiscal stewardship with his committee assignments on Senate Finance  also place him in key positions related to fiscal oversight and economic matters. 

Education Opportunity 

Education has been a defining policy area throughout Senator Brenner’s career. He has chaired both the Ohio Senate Education Committee and, previously, the Ohio House Education and Career Readiness Committee. He has sponsored and supported multiple education‑focused bills, particularly those related to expanding school choice,  literacy, student readiness, and curriculum standards.

Senator Brenner has consistently been active on committees responsible for reviewing, updating, and modernizing government processes. His service on the Joint Committee on Agency Rule Review and Government Oversight  shows a focus on regulatory review, rulemaking transparency, and reforms that ensure public accountability.
