Curt Hartman is running to represent House District 27 with a strong belief in limited government and individual freedom. As an experienced attorney, he shows great promise with policymaking. He is strongly aligned with AFP-OH priorities on regulatory reform and will leverage his legal expertise to understand existing regulations and effectively craft new legislation. 

His motivation stems from a concern that the Ohio General Assembly has not effectively pursued limited government and has instead contributed to an expanding bureaucracy. Hartman aims to halt the growth of government through legislative repeal and oversight of administrative rules. 

Tax Reform 

He supports phasing out Ohio’s state income tax and reducing the size and scope of government to expedite tax reduction and make Ohio more competitive for businesses. 

Education Freedom 

Hartman favors parental choice in education, advocating for a system that provides diverse options, including public, private, charter, homeschooling, and online education, while ensuring individual students receive meaningful opportunities and challenges. 

Regulation 

He opposes government-mandated labor practices, believing that private businesses should have the freedom to manage employment practices independently.
