Americans for Prosperity–Ohio (AFP-OH) is excited to shine a light on the winners of our 2025 Lantern of Liberty awards! These inaugural honors go to state House and Senate leaders who’ve gone the extra mile to champion policies that help all Ohioans thrive during the 135th General Assembly.
We couldn’t be prouder of these lawmakers. They’ve been rockstars in advancing the Buckeye Blueprint—fighting for real-world solutions that create opportunity, foster growth, and make our communities stronger. Their commitment to prosperity and freedom truly stands out.
Ohioans deserve to know who’s stepping up and leading the way to move our state from middle-of-the-pack to best-in-the-nation. These Lantern of Liberty award winners are doing just that—pushing for legislation that expands educational opportunities, boosts economic growth, and ensures government transparency. Thanks to their work, Ohio is becoming an even better place to live, work, and raise a family.
We’re incredibly grateful for their dedication and can’t wait to celebrate their efforts this summer at our Lantern of Liberty reception—where we’ll also bring back the Taxpayers’ Torch Award! Past Torch winners include Senate President Rob McColley, Lt. Governor Jon Husted, and Attorney General Dave Yost.
Let’s give a big shoutout to these amazing leaders who are lighting the path to a brighter, freer Ohio. Congrats to all the award winners!
