AFP Ohio is proud to announce its endorsement of Denise D’Angelo for Ohio House District 10 in the November election.
Denise D’Angelo’s roots run deep in Grove City, where she was born, raised, and has spent nearly two decades building her own small business as a massage therapist. As a member of the South-Western City Schools Board of Education since 2023, D’Angelo has already shown she gets results: helping implement a distraction-free “no cell phones” policy, bringing therapy dogs into school buildings to support student wellness, leading the search for the district’s first new superintendent in 17 years, and pushing for true transparency in local government.
D’Angelo’s record as a small business owner and elected school board member reflects the practical, taxpayer-focused approach at the heart of Buckeye Blueprint priorities. She has been clear that families deserve fair property tax treatment, transparent local government, and real accountability from the institutions that serve them.
Economic Opportunity
Having built and operated her own small business in Grove City for over 17 years as a licensed massage therapist, D’Angelo has felt firsthand how state paperwork and licensing fees can weigh on a small operation. She believes Ohio businesses shouldn’t need a legal team just to keep their doors open, and she’s pledged to cut red tape, keep licensure fees low and transparent, and protect workers’ right to choose whether to join a union. She also supports bold, structural relief to ease the property tax burden on homeowners and working families.
Energy Abundance
D’Angelo supports building on the free-market reforms in House Bill 15, backing an all-of-the-above energy approach that increases generation, protects ratepayers, and powers Ohio’s economic future. She opposes any effort to reimpose energy mandates, utility bailouts, or hidden charges on Ohio ratepayers, and she supports streamlining the permitting process for pipelines, power plants, and transmission lines to cut the bureaucratic delays and duplicative reviews holding back energy abundance and lower costs for consumers.
Freedom in Education
D’Angelo supports funding students instead of systems and empowering parents with school choice, built around phonics-based reading, strong math, and full curriculum transparency for families.
Modernizing Government in Ohio
D’Angelo has pushed for true transparency in how the South-Western City Schools Board spends taxpayer dollars since her 2023 election, and that same taxpayer-first instinct shapes her platform for Columbus. She believes Ohio’s nearly 4,000 political subdivisions create unnecessary bureaucracy and drive up the state’s local tax burden, and she’s pledged to support voluntary consolidation of overlapping local services — like emergency dispatch and road maintenance — along with strict “Truth in Taxation” laws that would force local governments to roll back ras, rather than collect a windfall, after property reappraisals.
