AFP Ohio is proud to announce its endorsement of Representative Heidi Workman for Ohio House District 72 in the November election.
Representative Heidi Workman has spent her first term in the Ohio House building a record centered on practical, results-driven policy. A small business owner and registered nurse with two decades of healthcare experience, Workman serves as Vice Chair of the House Technology and Innovation Committee, sits on the Government Oversight, Natural Resources, and Workforce & Higher Education Committees, and was appointed to the National Conference of State Legislatures’ Task Force on AI, Cybersecurity, and Privacy.
Workman has prioritized property tax reform to ease the burden on homeowners and small businesses, while advocating for less regulation on entrepreneurs so they can drive Ohio’s economic growth.
Economic Opportunity
As primary sponsor of House Bill 391, requiring property tax bills and levies to disclose their true cost to homeowners, and a cosponsor of enacted property tax relief measures including House Bill 129 and House Bill 124, Workman has turned her small-business background into real, legislated relief for Ohio taxpayers and entrepreneurs alike.
Freedom in Education
She serves on the Workforce & Higher Education Committee, supporting education-to-employment pathways that meet local workforce needs, and was appointed to the Ohio Tuition Trust Authority, where she works to expand college savings options and affordability for Ohio families.
Modernizing Government in Ohio
She has also cosponsored House Bill 59 to streamline Ohio’s occupational licensing requirements, House Bill 176 to create a statewide regulatory sandbox that lets entrepreneurs test new ideas without being buried in red tape, and House Bill 645 to require zero-based budgeting across state government every decade — putting her seat on the Technology and Innovation Committee to work building a leaner, more accountable Columbus.
